DanStem Postdoc and PhD Students association first joint seminar

seminar

The DanStem Postdoc Association (DaPA) and PhD Students association held their first joint seminar on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2017, the Mærsk tower.

The DaPA Postdoc Association is a member-driven organisation, aiming to give the postdoctoral community at DanStem a voice, a supportive network, and representation.

The first in a monthly series, these seminars represent a user-lead initiative to create a platform for students and postdocs to meet and discuss ideas and problems in a casual and informal environment. The seminar featured two short talks, presented by Rob Bone and Alba Riveiro who have discussed their projects and some of the technical challenges they’re facing.

Volunteers are sought (both students and postdocs) for next month’s meeting.

The DaPA seminar series is an opportunity to gain knowledge from colleagues at DanStem and get help with data interpretation or tricky conceptual and/or technical problems. For those in the audience, it is an excellent means to get to know the research of peers and support them in their work.
