DanStem Seminar by Ido Amit - December 16, 2015
Ido Amit, Weizmann institute, Israel Title: Shaping the blood: lessons from chromatin and single cell RNA analysis
The Amit lab studies the genomic code enabling immune cells to differentiate to specific subtypes and devise aspecific response to invading pathogens. Their main focus is to understand how gene regulatory networks activate this code. They develop and apply state of the art high throughput genomic tools and interdisciplinary approaches to address these critical biological and therapeutic questions. They believe that elucidating the underlying principles of the regulatory code will allow to impact the future of personalized medicine.
