Laboratory Technician to the Grapin-Botton Group
We are seeking a highly motivated, ambitious and reliable candidate to join the Grapin-Botton laboratory focusing on pancreas development and stem cells
The laboratory technician will be responsible for purchasing and general stock maintenance for the whole group, keeping track of orders, receiving, unpacking deliveries and approving invoices. He/she will maintain our consumable database and will play a major role in tasks ensuring a good working order of the laboratory, in collaboration with other lab members. The technician will contribute to genotype mice. In addition to these tasks, the technician will participate in research projects on a ad hoc basis, in collaboration with PhD students and post-doctoral fellow. These projects will vary with time and will depend on his/her skills and interests as well as the need. These could be related to human embryonic stem cell (hESC) culture, biochemistry, molecular biology, immunocytochemistry or tissue sectioning. The successful applicant is expected to learn new laboratory techniques and become able to use them autonomously. The working hours are 37 hours per week.
