Grand opening of the core zebrafish facility

zebrafish facility

The new Zebrafish facility at The Faculty of Health and Medical Sciences will allow studying processes difficult or impossible to follow in other animals.

The zebrafish can be used for research of diseases such as: Alzheimer, different types of cancer, anxiety and addiction. Moreover, the zebrafish can help us test whether already approved drugs can be used against other diseases than they were intended.

Associate Professor Elke Ober is heading the zebrafish research at DanStem
