In this series of deep and engaging conversations with some of Denmark’s leading researchers, Lone Frank invites scientists to talk about the latest scientific discoveries and ask some controversial questions.

On August 10, 2019, Professor Palle Serup from DanStem was invited to answer 24 questions related to stem cell research and developmental biology.

Stem cells were the new medical hope of the millennium. The immature stem cells were supposed to repair all possible damaged cells in the organism – hence to repair e.g. bad hearts, sick brains and a damaged pancreas. The principle is simple, but the difficulties lie in the transformation process. In this podcast, Professor Serup explains the repairing mechanisms in developmental biology and mentions the possible good news for diabetics and Parkinson's patients.
