Gretchen Repasky appointed Danish Diabetes Academy (DDA) Education Committee member
DDA Committee of Education consists of fourteen national experts of the highest international caliber within relevant diabetes areas and within education.
The aim of DDA Committee for Education is to plan educational and talent development activities for diabetes researchers affiliated with the DDA. These activities will include theoretical and practical courses, workshops, seminars, symposia, Summer Schools, Winter Schools and national/international meetings.
With the vision to enhance the quality of Danish diabetes research, and mission to educate and train the next generation of researchers in the field of diabetes, the education committee will have a major role ensuring that DDA education remains at the highest international level.
Gretchen’s expertise lies in the field of training and community building, designing and offering courses and symposia targeted toward the research community and focused on a wide array of scientific topics, including topics with an interdisciplinary focus and peer mentoring workshops. DDA aims to:
- Strengthen the research training available to PhD students and Post Docs within the field of diabetes, in collaboration with academia, hospitals, and life-science industry.
- Serve as a national hub within diabetes, unifying academia, hospitals, and life-science industry in Denmark, to strengthen educational activities and talent development within the area
- Recruit outstanding national and international PhD students, Post Docs and Visiting Professors, within the field of diabetes, in open and free competition
